Graphic designer, illustrator and curator in one. Erik Vilím studied aesthetics, reviewed contemporary visual art, curated exhibitions and ended up in branding, copywriting and traditional hand drawing – not in spite of that, but because of it. His diverse background is held together by a theoretical foundation that gives him something rare in this field: he understands why things work. He reads the system, its limitations and finds overlooked possibilities. His work blurs the boundaries between fine and applied art.

Grafický dizajnér, ilustrátor a kurátor v jednom. Erik Vilím vyštudoval estetiku, recenzoval súčasné vizuálne umenie, kurátoroval výstavy a skončil pri brandingu, copywritingu a tradičnej ručnej kresbe – nie napriek tomu, ale práve preto. Rôznorodé zázemie spája teoretický základ, ktorý mu dáva to, čo v našom prostredí chýba: rozumie tomu, prečo niečo funguje. Snaží sa pochopiť systém, jeho obmedzenia aj možnosti, ktoré v ňom skrývajú. Jeho práca vo výsledku stiera hranice medzi voľným a úžitkovým umením.
